New York, NY – September 8, 2009 -- United Stations Radio Networks, Inc., (USRN) an independent leader in original network radio programming, today announced it has signed an agreement to sell national network commercial time for Today’s Bits, a daily service that provides an audio and text to radio stations designed to enhance the on-air sound of its affiliates. The producers of Today’s Bits will continue to handle both the creation of the programming content as well as the affiliate relations and distribution of their proprietary content. United Stations President/COO Jim Higgins made the announcement in the company’s New York headquarters in conjunction with the Managing Partner of Today’s Bits, Keith McCullough.
Today’s Bits is a premium radio production resource providing audio and show-prep solutions to radio stations coast to coast. While based in Omaha, Nebraska, Today’s Bits taps into a team of on-line producers spread across North America in order to provide affiliates with daily audio and text bits. The Today’s Bits service includes audio montages, thematic imaging, man on the street interviews, games and other topical material that make the service unique in the world of content providers to radio stations.
In commenting on the addition of Today's Bits to its ad sales package, United Stations’ Jim Higgins noted, “There’s a continuing strong demand among our advertisers for quality weekday inventory, and the Today’s Bits lineup adds to the already impressive USRN portfolio of Comedy and Show Prep affiliates that count on this type of material for their weekday programming.”
