New Songs “Happy Birthday America” and “Old School” to be in the Spotlight

Toby Keith Kicks off Another Star-Studded Series of Guest-Hosts

New York, NY – June 25, 2021 -- United Stations is excited to announce that among the latest activity on its daily artist-hosted County program, Backstage Country, there will be a week during which the larger-than-life music icon TOBY KEITH will serve as host of the show. Keith will sit in as guest deejay during the week of July 5-9 as he celebrates not one, but two new songs being released. Keith’s new single titled “Old School” written by Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd arrives at radio this Friday, June 25th, and that will be followed by the July 1st release of a festive and patriotic track called “Happy Birthday America” which Toby Keith wrote last year on the July 4th holiday.

With July 4th landing on a Sunday, Monday, July 5th will be treated as the federal holiday, and since that may be a vacation day for regular radio station staff, United Stations will be making the 5-hour July 5th “airshift” hosted by Toby Keith available to anyone who would like to broadcast it, commitment free.

Toby Keith is a singer, songwriter, actor, producer and entrepreneur who rose to fame in the early 1990’s and has been one of the most popular recording artists in America ever since.  The Oklahoma native has three dozen songs that were in the Top 10 on the Country Music charts along with well over 30 million albums sold. His pro-American stance and his support for the U.S. armed forces as reflected in hit songs such as “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” “American Soldier” and “American Ride” have earned him a warm place in the hearts of fans coast to coast. He continues to salute our great nation with his latest tribute song, “Happy Birthday America” which will be spotlighted on Backstage Country all week along when he hosts along with plenty of other hits from the Toby Keith catalogue.

With Toby Keith solidly starting the month off, and with other newly confirmed bookings, Backstage Country is thrilled to announce that for the coming weeks, the host lineup looks like this:

Backstage Country gives listeners and affiliates an insider’s look at Country music as it is hosted by the stars of Country Music. Each Country artist who serves as host for the program does so for an entire Monday through Friday week.  The show debuted on September 14, 2020, and the network broadcast has already presented week-long programming hosted by Tim McGraw, Darius Rucker, Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Luke Bryan, Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett, Dierks Bentley and Garth Brooks with Trisha Yearwood. Each artist-host has the opportunity to share their unique perspective on music, touring, the media and any other topic that inspires or matters to them as influencers and creators.
