New York, NY – April 23, 2021 —United Stations, an independent leader in content and services for radio stations is excited to share the news that in recent weeks, programming featuring host Chubb Rock has generated fifteen (15) new affiliations including four new daily daypart broadcast outlets and eleven new affiliates for weekend programming. United Stations began working with Chubb Rock and his team of on-air talent and behind the scenes producers at the start of 2021 with the network company now handling distribution, affiliations and ad sales for the live-via-satellite daily morning show known as The Chubb Rock Show with SiMan Baby as well as two weekend shows, Diggin’ in Tha Crates and Authentic Caribbean. The daily morning show is also offered as content segments each day so that radio stations can use Chubb Rock’s show in other time slots including middays and afternoon drive.
The 4-hour daily weekday show, The Chubb Rock Show with SiMan Baby can now be heard in morning drive in Columbus, GA on Davis Broadcasting’s WKZJ-FM (K92.7) and in Northern Oregon on KWCQ-FM (106.1 The Beat). The daily show is also now heard via delayed broadcast on WZKS-FM (Kiss 104.1) in Meridian, MS as well as in Orangeburg, SC on 93.7 The People’s Station. Expressing excitement about the addition of Chubb Rock’s show in Columbus, GA, K-92.7’s VP. Market Manager, Geniece Granville commented, “We just signed on as an affiliate and I look forward to working with Chubb Rock and SiMan. We look forward to seeing how our listeners respond.” At the other new morning show affiliate, owner Jeff Jacobs added, “Chubb’s show brings validity and notoriety in the morning to our Classic Hip Hop station with our core demo.”
Chubb Rock’s two weekend shows have also been expanding their footprint across America as Authentic Caribbean has been added to several frequencies in the Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton, PA region. Meanwhile, the weekly mix show, Diggin’ in Tha Crates, has added seven (7) affiliates including WUFO in Buffalo, WMNX in Wilmington, NC, and most notably, WHUR, the #1 music radio station in Washington, D.C. Regarding that addition in our nation’s capital, WHUR’s Program Director Al Payne noted, “Chubb has been part of the WHUR family for some time and I’ve been waiting on the opportunity to fold him into the flagship’s line up. Mission accomplished! Each show is an EPIC journey back to our youth with unmatched content and song selection. BRAVO!”
Following a successful career as a Hip Hop recording artist, Chubb Rock landed on the radio, and it was in New York that his weekend specialty show of Old School mixes came to life. That project paved the way for Chubb Rock’s current weekend show, “Diggin’ In Tha Crates.” Chubb Rock first teamed up with Georgia Radio Hall of Famer SiMan Baby at WAMJ-FM “Majic 107.5,” where they were #1 with adults and women; known for great celebrity interviews and an up-beat, music intensive show. The pair have been in syndication for over two years.
